Specializing in the production of bus processing machine manufacturers
Recently, ABB announced that it has won an order of approximately US$18 million from Indian Railways to supply traction transformers. These transformers are customized for WAP-7 electric locomotives. The 6000-horsepower locomotive can tow 24 passenger cars at a speed of 140 kilometers per hour.
The project is part of the Indian Railway Corporation’s "mission electrification" plan, which aims to convert another 24,000 kilometers of railways from fossil fuels to electrification. The mission also aims to improve energy efficiency by adopting high-quality equipment and promoting the use of renewable energy in railway operations.
